Martin Dahanukar...which pulsates in full coloursNew upcoming album Scent Of JungleSkip Records (February 2012) The jungle – buffer zone between the familiar and strange – shines through all the new pieces on the album Scent Of Jungle. Dharavi Ballad, Shivaism, Avatara or Tweets From Varanasi meander through open ambiances, in which the soft sounds in particular develop an arcane meaning. The concerts of the past three years were the driving force behind the diary-like compositions, wich are intended to highlight the personalities of all musicians involved – as well as their improvisation styles. In the eight musical poems on the resulting album, the compositions and solos are densely interwoven. The moods are filigree, and apart from striking rhythmic currents, there are ethereal parts that seem to float in slow motion. These aesthetics focus on the contrast between agitation and submersion – and go for the churning stranger in the music. « back | deutsch | français |
